Who are the major players on either side of the amendment?

Answer

Raise Up Massachusetts, a coalition of community groups, faith organizations, and labor unions, proposed the Fair Share Amendment and gathered the signatures that put it on the ballot. The Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation, largely backed by business groups, and the Massachusetts High Technology Council, a business lobby, are opposed the amendment. Other industry lobbies, including Associated Industries of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Competitive Partnership, are working against the ballot measure.
